We met this young lady on our May 2014 trip to Nicaragua. We first met her children (2 daughters age 10 & 2) at the discipleship/feeding program on Saturday. She came with them the next day to the Sunday service. She was an exhausted, broken young lady. As I approached her to pray for her that morning, God spoke to me to tell her "it must stop now." I laid my hands on her and she began to cry, "Ya no puedo hacer esto" ( I can't do this anymore, I can't do this anymore). There was such a powerful sense of God's presence surrounding her. We prayed and held her as she wept, until the peace of God came upon her. We left her in good hands, as Pastor Carlos and his wife Zulema will continue to minister to her, watching out for her and her children, and helping her to continue to walk in all that God did for her that day. After returning to the states, we received a testimony from Pastor Carlos that this young lady had received all that she needed from God that day. She received deliverance, healing, restoration, peace, and hope for the future, thus beginning a new journey of restored dignity. She is one of thousands that live in Cristo Rey, and only one of many that we believe the Lord has called us to minister to - to give hope and a future to - alongside Casa del Rey - the church in the barrio. This is her story - and we believe there will be many more stories like hers to come . . .
We would love to have you prayerfully consider partnering with us to see more precious Nicaraguans experience the power and love of God that truly brings life change - - please help us get there by donating on the "how to help" page.
