Almost Home

Our new home that is . . . Nicaragua.

We can’t believe how fast time is going with only 3 months left before we head to Nicaragua. It seems like forever that we have been working on getting there, yet it seems like it was just yesterday that we answered the call to go and began preparations.

Oh the process . . . it has been long and at times difficult, yet it has been so exciting to watch it all come together. And to see how faithful God is in providing, in ways and with people we never even imagined.

Now comes the hard part . . . what to take, what to leave behind , how to pack, what to pack, what awaits us there as we get on a plane with 4 suitcases, which will be all we will own as we leave behind our home, our families, our friends, and go only with God . So very glad He goes before us, He goes with us, He goes behind us, and He goes in us.

All the questions will soon be answered: where will we live, what will we do for a vehicle and how will we get around in a developing country with very limited resources for navigation. How will we do the first few months as we try to communicate with the Spanish we have been learning?

With all of this there is a growing excitement to be there and to be doing what we believe God has called us to do. We have only had a glimpse of the things that God has in store for us there, as we become the hands and feet of Jesus to the precious people of Nicaragua.
