The Need Is Great

Volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, hurricanes, civil wars, and oppressive dictatorships all play a part in the story of Nicaragua. This nation of only 5.6 million people is physically the largest of the Central American republics and is comprised of a very mountainous terrain between its Pacific and Caribbean coasts.
While numerous mineral resources, fertile soil, and a low population give Nicaragua the potential for great wealth, its troubled past has kept it the second poorest nation in the Western Hemisphere.
Through these tragedies of political corruption and natural disasters, God is at work softening the hearts of Nicaraguans. The same volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, and hurricanes that bring hurt are also being used by God to lead the people of Nicaragua to consider matters of life and morality.
The needs are great and beyond imagination but the laborers are few. The time to go is now and we are trusting the Lord of the harvest to send us forth into the harvest. Please stand with us in prayer as we endeavor to raise our support to go to Nicaragua as soon as possible. We also ask that you pray for strength, for wisdom, for God’s help to learn the Spanish language, for proper housing when the time comes, and for God’s favor to open the right doors for ministry.
If you would like to help make our arrival in Nicaragua a reality by supporting us financially, please go to the How to Help page for instructions on giving.
